The school family of New Longton All Saints’ stands united in mourning the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
A book of condolence has been placed in our school foyer and all members of our community are welcome to write messages of condolence and support in it. It is accessible between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
We feel that it is important to celebrate the life and work of Her Majesty and mark her passing in a respectful and suitable manner. As such we will be supporting the children to learn about and understand her role and the important work she has accomplished both nationally and internationally, alongside her passions and achievements and will be amending our curriculum to accommodate this in the lead up to her funeral. This will be completed sensitively, in an age-appropriate manner.
“In times when nothing stood
But worsened and grew strange
There was one constant good
She did not change.”
Phillip Larkin, written for HM Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee.

Welcome to our school
A very warm welcome to New Longton All Saints’ Church of England Primary School. Here you will find a dedicated and talented team of staff, hard-working and engaging pupils and supportive and proud parents. We live our Vision to serve and to support through our ethos and through our determination to ensure all children are afforded opportunities to shine.
Guided by God’s light, we aim to experience, enjoy and excel.
Our school is one extended family, where care for each other and support form the basis of our caring, Christian ethos – our All Saints’ Way. This ethos supports us in our commitment to ensuring our children are well-rounded, friendly and well-equipped individuals whose strong work ethic will last long into adulthood.
We are a high-achieving school in many areas, not just academically, where we are consistently above national averages, but also through our facilities and drive to continually improve our offer and resources. First and foremost, we pride ourselves on being a family, looking after each other.
I hope you enjoy navigating through our site, which is designed to give you a snapshot of life at New Longton. Should you require anything further, please contact the school office via email or by telephone where Mrs Edwards or Mrs Hunter will be happy to help.
