About

Head’s Welcome

Welcome to our school website. At NLAS, we are all extremely proud of our school, its ethos and the amazing children and families that make us so unique. We hope our website will give you an informative snapshot of life at our brilliant school whether you are a current parent, a child at our school or a prospective parent looking for the right school for your child.

Every day is an Open Day for us, so if you’re thinking of booking a visit, please ring the School Office and we’ll be happy to arrange a tour for you.

New Longton All Saints’ is a great Church of England primary school which serves the local community of New Longton. We live our Vision to serve and to support through our ethos and through our determination to ensure all children are afforded opportunities to shine. Children enjoy being here and they are at the centre of everything we do. We are proud of our children and staff and we are committed to providing the best quality education rooted in Christian care, that we can – that’s “the All Saints’ Way”.

As a Church of England primary school, we have strong links with Blackburn Diocese, All Saints’ Church,New Longton and other churches in our community. We are blessed that our Vicar, Tom, leads a weekly act of worship in school and supports us through not only this, but also through his chaplaincy. We are a high-achieving school in many areas, not just academically, where we are consistently above national averages, but also through our facilities and drive to continually improve our offer and resources. First and foremost, we pride ourselves on being a family and looking after each other.

Children’s well-being is at the centre of our approach here and we pride ourselves in our family ethos. Our curriculum is broad, varied and personalised to the needs of our pupils and that of our local community.

We add enriching experiences for children that invoke a love for learning, affording children the opportunity to experience a range of activities such as: leading initiatives, performing at whole school events, undertaking residential trips, holding positions of responsibility, accessing a wide range of clubs and experiences, and developing into well-rounded and responsible citizens.

Our school is one extended family, where care for each other and support form the basis of our Christian ethos – our All Saints’ Way. This ethos supports us in our commitment to ensuring our children are well-rounded, friendly and well-equipped individuals whose strong work ethic will last long into adulthood.

I hope you enjoy navigating through our site, which is designed to give you a snapshot of life at New Longton. Should you require anything further, please contact the school office via email or by telephone where Mrs Edwards or Mrs Hunter will be happy to help.
