Key Information

Online Safety

Being online is an integral part of children’s lives. Social media, online games, websites and apps can be accessed through mobile phones, computers, laptops and tablets – all of which form a part of children’s online world.

The internet and online technology provides new opportunities for children’s learning and growth, but it can also expose them to new types of risks.

At NLAS, we make use of creative tools and sites to support children with their learning but we make sure that we have a whole-school approach to e-safety, in order to educate all of our pupils around the risks associated with being online and teach them how to manage those risks.

We provide regular updates to parents about keeping children safe online through our newsletters, workshops and links. E-safety is a fundamental part of our safeguarding and child protection measures.

If you are concerned or have any questions, please get in touch with me via the school office or at the beginning and end of the day in the playground.
